Over the years I have had a number of these butane convection heaters. (Different brands but all similar in appearance.) After 2 or 3 years I tend to discard the gas heater even though it is still working perfectly well. In terms of performance and heat output the Phonix Convection Heather is on a par with other brands I have purchased. My one big gripe with the Phonix is that the gas regulator is not attached to the cabinet which means you have to carryout the final assembly oneself - and I found it difficult beyond belief notwithstanding I followed the instructions to the letter and used soap to lubricate the tube which connects the appliance to the gas regulator. The first two attempts led to gas leaking from the connection. Eventually, I succeeded in making a secure connection but by Jove it was difficult and required a considerable amount of brute force. Why the manufacturer cannot attach the gas tube to the appliance and the regulator is a moot point. The heater works well and if it were not for the connection issue I would award it 5 stars.
